About Michelle Simpson

Michelle Simpson is a certified Erickson & Lanning CBCI trainer, supporting schools to design concept-based units, nurture student thinking, and embed inquiry meaningfully across contexts.
She is also a lead writer for the international Concept-Based Inquiry Mathematics Project by Rachel French and Kelvin Sparks, a program placing thinking at the heart of math learning in classrooms around the world.
With over 30 years of experience across New Zealand, the UK, the UAE, Sudan, and Oman, Michelle is known for simplifying complex ideas, building teacher confidence, and tailoring strategies that work within each school’s unique context.
